  • Salary Offered: £23,690 Increasing to £25,080.50 after a successful probation
  • Location: Thetford, but covering the North & South. _Requirement to work in the community._
  • Annual leave entitlement of 26 days

What we are looking for:


  • Full driving licence is required, and access to vehicle (mileage paid)
  • Experience leading teams
  • Good organisational and planning skills would be an advantageous.
  • Experience of events management
  • Experience of supporting people who are or have had mental health problems in the past
  • Good IT and numeracy skills
  • Must have experience with Word and Excel.

The role:

**To be responsible for the day to day coordination of the Rest in the Community network alongside the service manager and working in partnership with the Business and Marketing team at Norfolk and Waveney Mind. As the Coordinator you will be responsible for providing mental health support to the people of North and South Norfolk in their local community. As the lead you will be responsible for supporting people on their wellness not illness and working to prevent isolation and loneliness to develop a stronger, more resilient and sustainable community through a range of services and interventions.


This will include day to day management of our external support to the local communities of North and South Norfolk.

This work includes the coordination of providing support with life skills, social inclusion through one to one support and groups, booking events and coordinating training events working alongside the business development team.

You will be liaising with external providers bringing together a strong partnership in organising events and workshops.


Among other responsibilities you will:


  • Support the Recovery Worker in carrying out their duties, including using prior experience to assist with any difficult or complex decision making (liaising with the service manager or oncall manager where needed).
  • Support individuals in need presenting in a range of ways to develop their own safety plan and coping strategies to prevent a crisis situation.
  • Work in partnership with Norfolk and Waveney Mind's Business and Marketing team to bring together events, training and opportunities to develop a sustainable local community across North and South Norfolk.
  • Lead on building relationships with all stakeholders, integrate organisations and build a strong network.
  • Lead on linking key services to our South Norfolk hub network including support in local GP practices, employment support, mental health support leading to social care crisis.
  • Lead on building relationships with local GPs, external agencies and Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust (NSFT) mental health teams, making warm referrals as required.
  • Liaise monthly with peers to coordinate the Rest Community Locations and support offering at these locations.
