Description
Quantum Surveyors provide Quantity Surveying & Project Management services for residential and commercial clients, primarily restaurant and licenced trade.

This requires working closely with clients and client appointed contractors & suppliers and we have an opportunity for a trainee surveyor to support our small team.


Surveyors work in all areas of construction, but our focus is working with clients to deliver fast track commercial developments from inception to completion.

This is mainly office based work, but frequent site visits are necessary throughout a development.


As a trainee, initially you will be office based supporting the rest of the team within the office or while out on site.

As training and ability develops, site attendance will be required with a more senior colleague and then under your own initiative.


Salary:
Starting at £20K per annum


Location:
Woodmancote West Sussex

  • As part of your training you will be responsible for managing some administrative office procedures, taking phone calls etc
  • In providing support you will be required to contact client suppliers, track and request quotes, organise and issue quotation updates, raise and manage purchase orders, receive and process invoices for payment by client representatives.
  • You will be professional and courteous, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, as you will need to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals
  • Hours 9am 5.30pm Monday
  • Friday

Skills

  • No previous surveying experience necessary, although would suit someone with an interest or some experience in the construction industry
  • Working with people, facetoface, video (TEAMS) and telephone will be necessary.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities would be beneficial
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Some experience with Microsoft 365 specifically, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc

Essential

  • Access to own transport as office is in a rural location
  • Work authorisation for United Kingdom

Desirable

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English & Maths

Salary:
From £20,000.00 per year
