The Institute of Coding (IoC) wish to appoint a Marketing Officer to support the IoC's Head of Marketing and Communications in increasing the IoC's national profile and strategic relevance through a data-driven, multi-channel marketing and communications programme.

This includes supporting the development and implementation of inclusive learner engagement and recruitment campaigns for the IoC and partners.

In this role you will coordinate an effective marketing and communications programme in order to:

  • engage and recruit a large and diverse group of learners to the IoC's provision (including courses and events)
- publicise the IoC's work and impact to date and outcomes related to future work and projects
- promote the IoC as a whole to external audiences
- record, monitor and report on all IoC marketing and communications activity


You will be:
- required to take ownership of day-to-day management of the IoC's brand guidelines, website, and social media channels, and will be involved in supporting the Head of Marketing to create content and assist with campaign development and implementation.
- a proactive and creative individual with strong writing, communications and interpersonal skills.
- informed on a variety of social media platforms and how to best utilise each and an awareness of emerging platforms.
- required to establish, develop and maintain strong working relationships with academic and professional staff from across the IoC consortium and beyond, including engaging with high status external stakeholders within industry, academia and government.
