    Job description:

    P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients who are recruiting a Survey Technician for a full-time, permanent position in Great Yarmouth.

    Main Responsibilities:

    Rental (Onshore):

    • Prepare and test equipment before rental and after return.
    • Test functionality, update software and firmware, inspect cables.
    • Ensure equipment completeness against packing lists.
    • Inspect and document returned equipment.
    • Conduct visual inspections, function testing, and write technical reports.
    • Identify repair tasks and prepare assets for delivery.
    • Perform general warehouse and delivery duties.

    Mobilisations / Demobilisations (Offshore):

    • Inspect and document equipment during mobilisation.
    • Set up, interface, and function test equipment.
    • Troubleshoot issues to successful conclusion.
    • Assist the offshore survey team as needed.
    • Demobilise equipment, inspect, and document prior to dispatch.
    • Attend offshore training and undergo an offshore medical examination.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Working knowledge of electronic engineering principles and practices.
    • Experience with survey equipment.
    • Knowledge of asset tracking databases.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
    • Ability to work remotely with relevant IT access.
    • Knowledge of interfacing survey sensors with acquisition software.
    • Ability to work unsupervised on basic offshore projects.
    • Ability to operate survey equipment as part of an offshore survey team.
    • Ability to work efficiently and safely under pressure and to deadline.
    • Commitment to hard work and professional development.
    • Passion for developing skills in industry-recognised technology.
    • Full UK driving license required.
