Vehicle Services is an evolving business supporting customer de-fleet, multiple remarketing channels and a complete range of vehicle preparation services including wholesale and retail ready.

This requires an agile and responsive support function able to manage a variation of customer requirements.

The role of this department is to carry out initial cosmetic inspections to meet the relevant contractual standards and then follow each vehicle through the relevant authorisation processes and finally the QC process right through to the vehicle becoming available for sale.


Team members are responsible for ensuring all customer defined requirements are delivered ensuring operational and customer service excellences are always met.


Scope of Role:

You will be required to onboard and provide training for all new inspectors, following an induction and training plan.

There will also be the need to provide additional training to maintain the standard of all inspectors using the results of audits to establish where this is needed.

You will also be required to estimate structurally and heavily damaged vehicles.


This role will require you to discuss inspection standards and inspection quality queries with internal and external customers as and when required.

  • To be able to develop relationships with all members of the team to make the experience both professional and enjoyable.
  • To provide solutions to how best vehicles can be repaired.
  • To be comfortable in a customer facing environment.
  • To support the development of new inspection technology, processes, and standards.
  • Required to adhere to HSE policies and processes at all times.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:


  • Experience of working within rigid regulations and procedures
  • An exceptional eye for detail
  • Strong understanding of repair methods and the ability to select the most appropriate for the damage.
  • An understanding of all the components of a vehicle, both car and commercial.
  • Able to engage confidently with team members at different levels, demonstrating strong interpersonal and influencing skills to ensure success.
  • Able to adapt to the everchanging technology used.
  • Able to use your initiative and be flexible, reacting to change quickly and effectively.
  • Able to work as part of a team to ensure successful delivery of the demands of our department.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, prioritising workload.
  • An understanding of BVRLA and or NAMA would be a distinct advantage.
