All teams working in Blackpool with children, young people and families have a strong work ethic of support for each other, with all team members seen as equals.

We also link with a variety of services within the Fylde Coast.

The services have been established for many years and have now expanded to encompass Mental Health Support Teams, with a range of professionals and dedicated admin staff.

We have an ethos of person-centred service for our clients as well as good self-care being encouraged within the team.

This also extends to each other as colleagues, leading to a strong and motivated team.

To assist with transforming children and young people's mental health and emotional wellbeing services, an extension to the Mental Health Support Team (MHST) has been approved, with the aim of improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people across the Fylde Coast The original team is now established and in the second year of operation, working in our nominated schools and college.

The post holder will work under the direction of the MHST Service Lead and Senior Practitioners within the project, across the secondary schools, special schools and our Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) within the Fylde Coast.

Joint working with education colleagues, Options4CYP (Children and Young People) and other teams in the wider system will be essential, to support the emotional wellbeing and mental health needs of children and young people.

Some evening and weekend working may be required so you will have a flexible attitude to the role.

As this is a school-based service, the post holder will be expected to take their annual leave predominantly in the school holidays.
