Do you have the drive, enthusiasm, and a passion to help take First Bus, York further? We want you to join us as a Customer Experience Advisor and be part of our amazing team


York is a vibrant place to live and work and here at First Bus, York our services are helping to keep York moving.

As a Customer Experience Advisor, you will help our customer's travel across the city from our six park and ride sites.


You will be working closely with our Operations Supervisors and Park and Ride Manager to ensure that we are providing an outstanding service to our customers and ensure they have a great experience from start to finish.

Whether that's providing them information on services using the First Bus App, Twitter or the website, to selling them the right tickets and guiding them on the best way to travel back to site.


You will help keep our customers consistently informed no matter how they get in touch with us, be it via our social media channels, in person or through our Customer Service Centre.

You will also help support the Park and Ride Manager coordinate events throughout the year for our customers, making sure all information available is up to date and being the first point of contact for customers on the day.


This role is 16 hours p/w and weekends only.

£10.68ph

You must live within 60 minutes travel time from the depot

What are we looking for?

  • Experience of working in a busy customer service environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with good interpersonal skills and ability to demonstrate empathy with both internal and external customers
  • High levels of resilience when working in a busy environment
  • Good level of numeracy
  • IT skills with regular use of social media and other apps
  • Positive, tenacious and 'can do' attitude
  • Good attention to detail
