Unique School Solutions are looking to recruit a Learning Mentor on behalf of a Rotherham Primary School. The school is a large and diverse primary school in the S65 area of Rotherham.


This is a full-time, term time only, role starting after the Easter holidays, the role will initially be temporary but there is potential for the role to be made permanent following a successful 12 week working probation.

The school is a large multi-cultural school in the heart of its community. The staff team are passionate about providing the very best education and experience to its pupils.


The main duties will include.

  • Provide specialist skills and knowledge at an advanced level in social, emotional and wellbeing development across the school.
  • Establish and promote productive relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
  • Work with identified children with additional needs on either a 1:1 or small group basis.
  • Plan and lead nurture groups and interventions for children with social and emotional needs.
  • Implement all school policies relating to behaviour and safeguarding.
  • Assist with children at the beginning and end of the day and supervise pupils during break times as necessary.
  • Previous experience working in a school environment supporting pupils with additional needs.
  • Strong understanding of the SEND processes in school.
  • Have multiagency experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.7% statutory holiday pay.

£105.00-£115.00 per day
