About this Role
The Manchester Museum is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join its catering team as Hospitality Services Assistant.
Manchester Museum is reopening its doors after an exciting £15m transformation, aiming to build a better understanding between cultures and a more sustainable world, with their vision to become the most inclusive, imaginative and caring museum you might encounter.
The Museum's famous café will reopen after extensive refurbishment, along with an exciting new coffee bar, hospitality and events spaces.
The post holder will carry out hospitality services across the Manchester Museum (including café and restaurant service within the new café areas, as well working on weddings, events and hospitality), providing a warm and friendly service in support of the Museum visitor experience.
The post holder should have demonstrable knowledge, experience and awareness of customer service in a similar environment, along with a basic understand of Health and safety and food safety is a café environment.

This is a flexible vacancy, working on an as and when required basis, with the business potentially operating Monday to Sunday (7 days a week), with both daytime and evening work.
University Catering
The catering at the Manchester Museum will be operated by the University's catering team, which encompasses a broad and diverse range of business areas - including retail outlets, catered halls, student bars, conferencing, events and hospitality.
With such a varied range of business across the week, the department is always a buzz of activity - no two days are ever the same.
