We are a service that leads on innovation, boasting a robust preceptorship programme for our staff, allowing them to have a clear progression plan and develop in their career with us.

Main duties of the job

  • You will be based as an employee within Berkshire Talking Therapies whilst attending Reading University, with a mixture of teaching days and service days.
  • You will be required to undertake and pass the Talking Therapies PWP training, provided through the University of Reading and achieve the Postgraduate/Graduate Certificate in Evidence based Psychological Treatments as part of this role.
  • Providing high volume, low intensity interventions using cognitive behavioural therapy for mild to moderate anxiety and depression
  • Opportunities to support those with long term physical health conditions and those with employment issues, alongside our fantastic employment support team.
  • On successful completion of the programme, you will be equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes, and behaviours relevant to employment as a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner within Talking Therapies.

The 4 must haves for you to be considered for this role:

  • Evidence of vocational training or further study (level 5 upwards).
  • Experience working with adults with mental health difficulties.
  • Willing to work one 128pm shift per week (the rest either 84pm or 95pm, no late shifts on Fridays).
  • Willing to work in the office and able to travel to other locations as needed.
We also welcome those who can offer therapy in other languages, although this is not essential for this role.
