We have a fantastic opportunity for dynamic, enthusiastic and highly motivated dietitian to join CNWL to work in the Community Children's Nursing Team.

This is an ideal post for a dietitian with experience in nutritional support who wants to develop clinical skills working with children and young people living in the community with a feeding tube.

The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users.

The post holder will be responsible for providing specialist dietetic advice and support to a complex caseload of enterally fed infants, children, young people and their parents/carers in a range of settings including patients' homes, special need schools, respite care and clinics.

You will work alongside healthcare professionals within the acute and community sectors, education and social services to assess, treat and safeguard children in your care.

The post holder will be supported by the current Band 7 dietitian. Continuing professional development is actively supported via clinical supervision, yearly appraisal, in-house training and monthly in-service training.

CNWL (Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust) has almost 7,000 staff providing integrated healthcare to a third of London's population, Milton Keynes and areas beyond.

You will be part of the Children's Community Nursing Team (CCNT) in Hillingdon, working closely with the children's nurses, school staff, other allied health professionals and medical staff at Hillingdon Hospital as well as the specialist dietitian already in post.

You will also be part of a wider peer supervision group of paediatric dietitians working across CNWL to support evidence based practice and innovation.

Peer support is also gained from close working relationships and monthly CPD meetings with the paediatric dietitians at Hillingdon Hospital


As part of the CCNT you will gain practical experience of enteral feeding and the management of the ancillaries and equipment required; supporting families with the care and maintenance of feeding tubes including changing balloon gastrostomy tubes if desired.
