**We are looking for two committed FEMALE care workers to provide personal care support to a woman in the Ellington area. The support is to involve meal preparation, personal care, medication prompting and healthcare tasks as necessary.

  • The woman is young at heart with an outgoing bubbly personality. She spends much of her time confined to bed because of her medical needs and requires support with all aspects of her daily living tasks. She lives at home with her husband and extended family members.
  • The ideal applicant will be
  • Experienced in providing domiciliary care including healthcare tasks e.g catheter care, stoma bag and diabetes management
  • Must be FEMALE due to personal care support
- have a mature nature

  • Be outgoing and chatty but be able to 'work whilst they talk'
  • Be able to meet the physical demands of the role such as moving & handling tasks
  • Must like dogs as there is a small family pet in the property

Rate of Pay:
£13.09 per hour

**Hours Breakdown: 11 1⁄2 hours per week - 7-day care plan to be shared by two FEMALE workers

  • Approximately 2pm 1 hour call x 7 days
  • Approximately 2pm additional 1⁄2 hour x 2 days to be added to above call
  • Approximately 8:30pm (or later if possible) 1⁄2 hour call x 7 days
Holiday pay - 5.6 weeks pro rata per year
No driver required, but local to Ellington preferred due to times of calls

  • A full enhanced Disclosure and Barring Certificate will be required. Full cost will be met by the employer
  • Training will be provided as appropriate. This will include medication administration, Adult Safeguarding, demonstration of moving handling plan plus training deemed appropriate by employer.
