Description

The PD Stream has been developed from the model at the Halliwick Personality Disorder Service, the birthplace of Mentalisation-based treatment (MBT) which was developed and manualised by Peter Fonagy and Anthony Bateman.

In addition to MBT, we also offer comprehensive Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Structured Clinical Management informed approach. We are currently in the process of expanding our Family and Carers Programme. We also offer a small provision for people with Personality Disorder who require care coordination.


There is an emphasis on team based MDT decision making in the treatment planning which lends itself to creating a supportive environment for staff.

There is a good record of effectively supporting people towards a sense of satisfaction and achievement.


ETS as a whole, aims to promote excellence and innovation in the provision of care to patients with challenging and complex presentations.

There is a culture of continuous L&D opportunities and we regularly offer consultation and training to wider services.
