Tasks


1.


Clinical Support:


  • Assisting with medical procedures and examinations.
  • Taking and recording vital signs like blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate.
  • Collecting samples such as blood, urine, and swabs for testing.
  • Monitoring and reporting on patients' conditions.
  • Assisting patients with mobility issues, including helping them to move around.

Personal Care:


  • Helping patients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, and using the toilet.
  • Ensure patients are comfortable and support them with their daily routines.
  • Providing emotional and practical support to patients and their families.

Administrative and Housekeeping Tasks:


  • Keeping records of patients' care and updating healthcare professionals.
  • Ensuring that equipment and patient environments are clean and tidy.
  • Stocking and preparing supplies and ensuring that equipment is sterilized.

Communication:


  • Communicating effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare staff.
  • Acting as a point of contact between patients and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participating in team meetings and sharing information about patients' progress.

Support with Nutrition:


  • Assisting with meals, including preparing and serving food and drinks.
  • Monitoring patients' nutritional intake and reporting issues with eating or swallowing.

Observations and Record Keeping:


  • Making routine observations and taking records that are a critical part of patient care.
  • Documenting all interactions and interventions accurately.

Education and Promotion of Health:


  • Supporting patients in understanding the treatments and care they are receiving.
  • Promoting healthy lifestyle choices and providing general health advice.

Requirements:


  • Valid Mandatory Care Certifications/Training
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Have a valid right to work in the UK
  • Flexibility with work hours and shifts
