A Lloyd's Syndicate, who are in the early stages of their growth cycle, is seeking an experienced Lloyd's finance professional to join them as their Syndicate Financial Controller.


You will work with finance colleagues to ensure that the syndicate-wide systems of internal financial controls and reporting are appropriate and robust.

Additionally, the role-holder will build strong relationships with the External Auditors, and peers across finance, risk, and the business.


As the Syndicate Financial Controller, you will work closely with the Managing Agent in ensuring Syndicate compliance with all financial and associated regulatory requirements and in ensuring timely, accurate and complete reporting.

You will also have significant interaction with the Group CFO and team.


This is a broad role covering all aspects of Syndicate finance including (but not limited to) Capital Management, Syndicate Cash Management, Financial Reporting, Accounting Policy, Financial Control Framework, Tax, and People Leadership.


Applicants need to be qualified accountants with a proven track record gained within a Lloyd's environment, have experience of running a finance team, developing systems, controls, and financial models, have experience of embedding change and process improvements and be comfortable dealing with senior management to board level.
