Description

We are looking for an experienced Van Driver to join our team working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

You will be an enthusiastic and dedicated member of the retail transport team committed to supporting our network of Lighthouse Charity shops to achieve their targets through the collection/delivery of donated and sold goods and the transferring of stock between shops.

• Operate a van in a safe and responsible manner.
• Ensure that the van is maintained in good condition and all safety checks are completed.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Follow delivery instructions accurately.
• Communicate with customers in a polite and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries.
• Load and unload items from the van.

• It is essential to hold a full UK drivers licence with no more than 3 penalty points
• Must be over the age of 25 and have been driving for over two years
• Essential to have experience of driving Sprintertype vans and 3.5 tonne Luton vans
• Can transport furniture goods in a safe and responsible manner
• Is physically fit and prepared for heavy lifting
• Good knowledge of Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire geography to support route planning
• Basic Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check will be undertaken by Valley CIDS on all Retail Van Drivers
