    Description

    Chief of Staff

    Reports to: CEO

We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Chief of Staff to act as a force multiplier for our CEO and Executive Operating Committee (OpCo). This role is central to ensuring our executive team functions at its best. You'll partner with our leaders daily to shape our vision, communicate it effectively, and translate it into action. You'll be a self-starter and natural influencer looking for a broad role where you can learn a lot and make a real impact in a high-growth, customer-oriented tech business.

    Key responsibilities and main duties:

    • Executive Leadership Enablement: Support the CEO and executive operating committee (OpCo) to function at their highest level, optimizing their time, alignment and focus on the most critical business priorities.

    • Executive & board meeting facilitation: Set, coordinate and manage the strategic agendas for executive meetings, ensuring focus on the company's biggest priorities. Facilitate OpCo sessions, like business reviews, to monitor performance and drive effective decision-making. Draft strategic investor updates, including metrics and team highlights, and manage Q&A.

    • Strategy and M&A: Work closely with the Strategy & Corporate Development team to lead high-priority strategic projects, such as due diligence and integration planning for an acquisition or customer research and market-mapping for a new product area. Initiate and synthesise high-quality recommendations that drive our business forward.

    • Execution & Accountability: Own the end-to-end execution of key business projects on the CEO's agenda. Lead the follow-up on execution for key OpCo projects, tracking progress against goals, identifying and resolving roadblocks, and fostering a culture of accountability.

    • Cross-Functional Coordination: Drive seamless coordination and communication between executives and their teams, ensuring alignment and breaking down silos to accelerate progress on key initiatives.

    • Strategic Communication: Work closely with the People, Communications, and Strategy teams to drive strategy communication throughout the organisation on the CEO's behalf, ensuring the company's vision, priorities, and progress are clearly and consistently articulated.

Characteristics to make the role successful:

    • Strategic Thinker: Highly analytical and strategic – in the detail and owning the numbers but able to see the big picture and translate it into action at the same time.

    • Exceptional Communicator: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, able to engage effectively with diverse and often senior stakeholders and represent the CEO's voice with clarity and influence.

    • Natural Bridge-builder: Strong interpersonal skills, able to build relationships, influence without direct authority, and foster collaboration and trust across all teams.

    • Highly Organized & Efficient: A doer who is extremely organised and diligent. Demonstrates an ability to prioritise and project manage effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    • Proactive & Results-Oriented: A self-starter with a strong bias for action and a proven track record of delivering results. Persistent and comfortable in new situations.

    • Comfortable with Ambiguity: Thrives when faced with new situations and broad contexts, juggling multiple projects with high expectations of consistent results.

    • Collaborative Leader: Able to build relationships and influence across teams, fostering a collaborative approach to problem-solving and execution.

    • Passionate about Technology & Growth: A real passion for growth and tech businesses, especially the complexity of marketplaces and the opportunities and risks from AI's impacts on the consumer internet.

    • Experience: 2+ years of experience driving business results, probably in consulting, professional services, or a high-growth tech business.
