    About The Role

    We are National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED), responsible for the electricity distribution systems in the Midlands, Southwest England and South Wales. Our expert teams deliver heat, light and power for over 8 million people.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Ensuring compliance with Distribution Licence conditions by ensuring short-term compliance and long-term strategic development of the network.
    • Building connections into the network development.
    • Developing optioneering strategies and optimizing solutions to combine with future load-related reinforcements needs.
    • Managing key relationships with the Electricity System Operator (ESO) and National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) for network interface issues.
    • Assessing and designing new demand and generation connections.

    Requirements

    You will need a minimum 2:2 degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Sciences or Data Sciences. A full valid UK driving license is also required due to site location travel.

    Candidates must demonstrate the legal right to work in the UK for the duration of the graduate programme. If you do not currently have the right to work in the UK, please indicate this in your application.

    Location

    This role is based in Castle Donington with flexible hybrid working possible.
