Semi Senior Accountant, Regional Firm of Accountants, Sheffield

The Role
Barber McLelland is working in Partnership with a regional and highly progressive accountancy firm. Due to continued growth, the business is looking to recruit a Semi Senior/Practice Accountant to join their Sheffield office.


The firm provides a variety of services including but not limited to Payroll, CIS declarations, Pensions, Bookkeeping, VAT Returns, Management Accounts, Annual Accounts, Personal and Corporate Tax Returns.


Duties and Responsibilities
The role of Semi Senior/Practice Accountant will work within a highly experienced and supportive environment and will be responsible for the following:

  • The preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
  • Client Bookkeeping
  • Preparation of personal and corporate tax computations
  • Preparation of VAT
  • Leasing with clients and answering queries
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts

Skills and Qualities


The successful applicant must have developed a minimum of 3 years experience working within the accountancy profession and will be part-qualified AAT or ACCA, you will have experience in the use of a multitude of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero,SAGE etc.

Individuals who have developed suitable experience but have decided not to pursue formal studies are also encouraged.


Salary/Benefits

  • Salary £22,000 £27,000 (depending upon experience)

  • 23 Days plus statutory holidays
