About the role


This is an exciting opportunity to join the Faculty of History as the Departmental Lecturer in Global and Imperial History for a fixed term of one year.

The appointee will primarily lecture and teach undergraduate and graduate students, and will also engage in advanced study and conduct independent research within the Faculty of History, University of Oxford, George Street, Oxford.


The Role


The appointee will organise and contribute to courses in Global and Imperial History at undergraduate and Masters level, including teaching on the MSt Global and Imperial History, and for the DPhil training seminar in Global and Imperial History, as well as preparing and delivering their own MSt option paper.

The appointee will be expected to help cover teaching and supervision specifically with a focus on British Imperial History due to the retirement of Professor Jamie Belich, Beit Professor of Global and Imperial History, at the end of this academic year

This post is full time, fixed-term for one year.
