Job Overview:

As a Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to individuals who require assistance in the community.

This role plays a vital role in ensuring that individuals maintain their independence and quality of life by offering tailored care to meet their specific needs.

You will work closely with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care and promote their overall well-being.

Vacancies are available in the Greater Manchester area.


Annual Salary:
£11.75 per hour for 37.5 hours per week or £22,912.50 per annum.


Key Responsibilities:


Ø Empathy:
ensuring the client's dignity and privacy are always maintained.

Ø Medication Management:
following proper procedures, and maintaining accurate records. Monitor clients' medication schedules and report any concerns to the appropriate authorities.

Ø Support with

Daily Living Activities:

Help clients with tasks such as meal preparation, feeding, mobility assistance, and light household chores, ensuring their comfort and safety.


Ø Care Planning:
Participate in care planning meetings with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans. Implement and review these plans regularly to ensure they meet the changing needs of the clients.

Ø Emotional Support:
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in conversations, listening actively, and offering encouragement. Foster a positive and respectful environment that promotes well-being.

Ø Physical and

Mental Health Monitoring:

Observe and record any changes in clients' physical or mental health conditions, promptly reporting concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.

Monitor vital signs and assist with prescribed exercises or therapy as needed.

Ø Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate and detailed records of care provided, including daily activities, and any incidents or changes in clients' conditions.

Submit reports in a timely manner.

Ø Health and Safety:
Follow all health and safety guidelines, ensuring a clean and hazard-free environment for clients. Promptly report any safety risks or incidents to the appropriate authorities.

Ø Communication:

Maintain open and effective communication with clients, their families, and colleagues, providing updates on clients' conditions, progress, and any changes in their care needs.

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic care.

Ø Professional Development:
Stay updated on best practices, industry regulations, and advancements in care techniques. Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge.


Qualifications and Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent (additional certifications or training in healthcare or social care are preferred)

Previous experience in a similar role preferred.

Empathy, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong organizational and time management abilities

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical fitness and stamina to perform tasks that may involve lifting or assisting with mobility.

Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting purposes

Understanding of health and safety regulations and practices

  • Training and inhouse courses are provided
  • Help to complete a DBS check is available
  • UK drivers License is essential but not mandatory
