Job Title:
Senior HR Advisor - 3302
Level 6 grades are expected to carry out a variety of tasks; these include the day to day conduct of the organisation within the framework of established policy; management of individual sections within a department or division; detailed case work which is outside the limit of authority or established policy and procedures for more junior levels; investigations, inspection and administrative research (involving judgement, interpretation and the exercise of discretion);contributions to the formulation of policy; co-ordination and improvement of the day to day operation of the Housing Executive and provision of advice to the senior officers of the Housing Executive when required.

Adelaide Street, Belfast
Hours of work: 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday: 09.00am to 5pm)
Salary range:
£16.12

The Key Responsibilities of the Senior HR Advisor will include:
- To support HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to deliver an effective and customer orientated HR service to the business.
- To support HRBPs to provide professional and timely HR solutions, advice and support across the service, with a primary focus on the implementation of grievance, discipline, dignity at work and attendance management cases.
- To provide proactive specialist HR advice and support to managers for core HR policies and procedures, terms and conditions, employment law and HR best practice.
- To ensure effective working relationships with customers and key stakeholders within the organisation.
- To manage the daytoday activities of the Employee Relations Team.
- Additional duties will be required with a focus on Employee Relations, Attendance Management and Health & Wellbeing, HR Projects and Policy, Resourcing and Learning & Development.
Your Profile:
Education:
- Degree level qualification (Level 6) in Human Resource Management.
AND
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a Human Resources function.
OR
- Level 5 qualification in Human Resources.
AND
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a Human Resources function.
Professional Qualifications:
- Hold current professional membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development at Associate member (Assoc CIPD) or above.
OR
- Can demonstrate ability to obtain this within 1 year of commencement.
Significant relevant HR experience in at least 4 of the following 5 areas:
- Managing Attendance.
- Managing Grievance and/or Dignity at work cases.
- Managing Disciplinary cases.
- Developing HR Policy & Procedures.
- Delivering HR projects in support of business objectives.
Desirable:
- Experience of working within local government or the public sector.
- Experience working with trade unions.
Other:
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of current employment legislation relating to employee relations.
