Role Title:
Production Support Operative**
Location:Gibson House, Manor Lane, Hawarden


Department:
Manufacturing


Role Purpose:


The purpose of this role is to work as part of the production team within a state-of-the-art electrical manufacturing facility.

Working a 39 hour week Monday - Friday inclusive


Reporting Lines

Reporting To :
Build & Fit Lead/Manufacturing Supervisor


Key Contacts:
This position interacts with internal and external contacts, including customers and possibly, suppliers. Key internal contacts include Engineering & Design Team, Procurement, SHEQ Manager and the HR Team.


Role Requirements / Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:


  • Responsible for following instructions as directed and ensuring that all manufactured items are clearly identified.

Production Support Operative

  • Preparation of wiring, including use of automated wire cutting and stripping, termination labelling equipment. Product training will be provided.
  • Preparation of Panels and Cable Containment (Trunking) using Automated equipment and associated software.
  • Methodical and organised approach to work/tasks
  • Following procedures associated with material registration and manufacturing quality standards.
  • Able to work as part of a team in order to meet targets and objectives
  • Maintain quality control standards of workmanship
  • Basic computer literacy with word and excel

SHEQ
All Employees always have a legal responsibility to follow legislative and company policies & procedures

  • Ensuring that both LCA & Legislative procedures are followed.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment are used correctly, together with any prestart or post use checks.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is always used.
All team members can influence the Health & Safety performance of the company through every role in the organisation.

Ensuring that the factory and all working areas are well organised, provision of a safe environment and projects are administered correctly helps prevent rushing and working excess hours, statistically the most likely time an incident or accident could occur.

Salary:
£10.78-£11.91 per hour
