Have you got experience as a Production Manager in an SME environment? Do you have knowledge of technical manufacturing/engineering?


A manufacturing business in Nottingham is on the lookout for a Production Manager to join the team as a result of a rapidly expanding order book.

It's an opportunity to make genuine improvements to all aspects of production as a crucial member of the managementteam.


Day to day you'll be managing the staff and workflow within several departments, with the production team currently sat at round 40 people.

People management will be vital, including being able to balance being firm but reasonable.


Further responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with several departments including Production Planning, Engineering, Purchasing, Sales and Shipping
  • Communicate plan to production staff, ensuring smooth workflow through the factory
  • Seek continuous improvement by collaborating and communicating at all levels
  • Hitting KPI's on budget margins and shipping targets
The business is also in the process of integrating SAP, so experience of this would be ideal. MRP experience is essential, however.
