Where you fit in


You are going to be a part of the Corporate Reward Centre of Expertise in HR, a team of professionals who are passionate about helping Shell deliver its strategy.


What's the role?


You are going to be providing support across a range of reward matters relating to the Executive Directors, Executive Committee, Senior Executives and Shell's share plans and variable pay arrangements.

You will work across a range of projects, research, analysis, and benchmarking including for example drafting proposals for the Board's Remuneration Committee, the Management Development Committee, and other leadership teams and supporting delivery of best practice in Corporate Reward matters.


What we need from you


You need to have executive compensation and / or share plan experience in a global organisation including experience in understanding and translating business strategy to key performance metrics for pay, market benchmarking, corporate governance matters and policy development.

You will need to analyse and explain complex topics to formulate a proposed solution for senior level decision makers.


You must have outstanding attention to detail, analytical and numeracy abilities, strong collaboration skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.

You will need to work with colleagues across Shell on proposals, write board-level papers, and develop internal and external narratives and fluency in English is required.


Furthermore you will:

  • Understand strategic intent and have ability to navigate multiple stakeholder expectations;
  • Have a conceptual mind and good foresight, so as to help frame decision making;
  • Quick to identify external innovative approaches and generate relevant viewpoints;
  • Be able to work at pace and under pressure;
  • Have a proactive attitude in identifying potential issues;
  • Individuals with an understanding of Finance would be welcomed, e.g. awareness of accounting methods, financial metrics, etc;
  • Experience with tax and legal aspects of HR management is helpful but not essential.
