Responsibilities

  • Direct the preparation of accounting and financial reports for legacy Aucerna and EC/DW operations in Canada, USA, Argentina, Colombia, UK, Spain, Netherlands, Norway, Czech, Finland, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand
  • Oversee the accounting processes including monthly reporting, annual budget support, governmental reporting, and annual consolidated & statutory audits
  • Develop and implement global accounting policies, procedures and internal controls to ensure compliance with US GAAP and IFRS.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external business partners as needed for shared and/or outsourced or shared accounting functions.
  • Direct and manage a reliable international cash forecast (inflows and timely deployment of cash in regions to meet operating needs)
  • Manage along with responsible team members and local resources the full cycle accounting of the various jurisdictions
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulatory requirements and reporting obligations.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure a smooth audit process.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, including analysis of financial results and identification of areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and tax authorities.
  • Be an advisor from an accounting and finance perspective for the local operations
  • Identify, facilitate and/or escalate for resolution any jurisdiction specific accounting and operational issues
  • Improve, refine, and implement policies, procedures and systems to improve and align with overall operations of the organization
  • Plan, manage, direct, and implement acquisitions (integration of accounting and finance processes of the acquired operations)
  • Build and manage multiple jurisdiction teams to align and work collectively to support accounting functions and organizational objectives
  • Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives and provide financial insights and analysis.
  • Mid and longrange strategic planning for the group with local team and head office management.
  • Attract, retain and develop a global accounting team
- and approving journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, including performance management, training, and professional development
  • And other duties as assigned.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
  • CPA or equivalent certification required
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a management role overseeing a global accounting function.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and accounting principles and practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team of accounting professionals in a fastpaced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships across the organization and with external partners.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex accounting and financial issues.
  • Experience with accounting systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks with competing deadlines.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in a multinational corporation and public accounting firm.
