Directorate - Finance and Customer Services

Temporary (1 year), Full time, 37 hours per week


We are looking to appoint an outstanding Assistant Director of Property and Facilities Services on a one-year fixed term contract who will deliver the highest standards of property and facilities management across a wide range of assets and services including the operational property estate, the commercial estate, school meals and other catering services, cleaning services and school crossing patrols.


The role will report to the Strategic Director, Finance and Customer Services and be a member of the directorate leadership team.

You will work closely with the Strategic Director and DLT colleagues along with working with other senior officers and Elected Members to ensure our property assets are fit for purpose and meet the Council's needs.


We are looking for someone with significant relevant experience in this field who can meet our challenge through sustainable, innovative and creative ways of working, and who has a passion for providing excellent services to the people, businesses and communities of Rotherham.

Effective partnership working with internal and external stakeholders is crucial.

This will include bringing appropriate support and challenge, as well as leading our Asset Management and Facilities Services, ensuring our buildings are fit for purpose and our corporate landlord model is performing effectively.


You will have proven experience of leading and managing change to achieve improved outcomes, establishing an effective performance culture that achieves corporate and service objectives.
