Special Needs Support Assistant - Bridgend, United Kingdom - Bridgend County Borough Council
Description
From 5 hours part time up to 37 hours full-time available - term time- Temporary up to 2 years
- An enthusiastic, motivated, and committed person is required to support children with additional needs in the mainstream classroom as a Special Needs Support Assistant.
- A level 2 qualification in Childcare is required. Some experience of working with children and young people who have additional needs would be an advantage.
- Full driving licence is required and use of own vehicle during working hours is essential.
- You will be expected to work in education settings, across the borough, according to the needs of the Learner Support Service.
- The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.
- Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
- Applicants should note that a criminal record check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) will be necessary for the successful applicant.
