About the role:


Data Analyst - Credit Risk Modelling

_ Edinburgh - hybrid _

_Salary available up to £55k + package_


MBN are supporting a high-profile Banking organisation appoint a Data Analyst into their Credit Risk Modelling Team based in Edinburgh.

This is an exciting opportunity to join this well-known company who are investing heavily in their data capabilities.


You will be designing and delivering trusted, compliant, and effective credit risk models that are the foundation of provision & capital calculations, credit risk strategy, customer decisioning, product and pricing strategy.

You will enjoy working within an Agile environment with friendly and supportive colleagues.


What You'll Be Doing:

  • Prepare and coordinate MI and reports to support the development, monitoring and management of PD, LGD, EAD
  • IFRS9 & capital models.
  • Run advanced predictive analyses and perform model assessments, validation, and enhancement activities, using predictive analytics' software tools and functionalities.
  • Establish rapport, effectively communicating and engaging senior colleagues, managers and stakeholders.
  • Maintain sound documentation, produce recommendation and presenting papers to governance committees.
  • Work within established model risk/control framework and minimum standards.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Previous Banking or Financial Services experience
  • Good working knowledge of credit risk modelling
  • Proficient in SAS or SQL
  • Knowledge or R and Python are desirable but not essential
