We're already a successful college, but we're continually striving to be better and do better - be part of our story

We are looking to recruit an Exam Access Assessor to start in September 2024.

You would be joining a GOOD college and helping us continue to support our many students and be part of the journey to Outstanding.

In the role of EAA Assessor you'll predominantly be based at Waterfront but moving across all campuses and your focus will be on assessing students for EAA, completing the Form 8 accurately, supporting staff to complete form 9's in a timely manner to meet external and internal deadlines.

Your key responsibilities will be complete assessments in a timely manner, accurately record outcomes of the assessment and liaise with SEND, Exam and curriculum teams

You must have a post-graduate course at, or equivalent to, Level 7 (including at least 100 hours relating to individual specialist assessment); or a current SpLD Assessment Practicing Certificate as awarded by Patoss, Dyslexia Action or BDA, listed on the SASC website, and be experienced in undertaking EAA assessments.

It's important that you understand different SEND needs and are able to demonstrate our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in the role.

Due to the nature of our work, it's essential you're committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.

We believe learning is not just for our students: it's an important part of working here too.

Staff development opportunities include a mentoring scheme, financial contributions for external qualifications and skills development for current and aspiring managers.

You'll also have access to a range of staff benefits including an employee assistance programme, retail and leisure discounts and reduced Metro travel.

We want people who believe in the value of education, and who can contribute to our culture of supporting and challenging one another.
