Job Title
:
Healthwatch Community Outreach Lead


Working pattern:
Part time - 21 hours per week flexible, but may include some evening and weekend work


Salary:
£23,000 pro-rata = £18,648 per annum.


Location:
Flexible working

- home based with a requirement to attend the Healthwatch office regularly, with frequent travel throughout Telford and Wrekin.

The role entails meeting people, often going to where people are naturally around in their day to day lives and striking up conversations to find about peoples experiences.

If you are comfortable doing that then this is the role for you.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, and self-motivated individual to be our Community Outreach Lead in Healthwatch Telford and Wrekin.

Working flexibly from both the home base and the office, with the need to travel extensively throughout Telford and Wrekin, the successful individual will work closely with the team in Healthwatch Telford and Wrekin to ensure key health and social care commissioners and providers, regulators, stakeholders and people within Telford and Wrekin understand Healthwatch Telford and Wrekin are the effective independent champion for local people.


The individual will ensure effective community and stakeholder outreach and engagement, establishing and maintaining a strong local presence, ensuring Healthwatch secures involvement and participation from all groups within the community to ensure that all views are fully represented.


You will need to be flexible, and adaptive and motivated to look at ways we can ensure all members of the community are able to tell us about their experiences.

You will also be working with external organisations and partners, so you will need excellent communication and time management skills.

Being able to use digital mediums such as social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube etc.

is desirable and an important tool for us to share relevant and timely news, information, guidance and regular calls to arms for information and story sharing that appeals to all communities.
