THE BUSINESS
Our client is the leading European high-volume manufacturer within their sector.

The company in question have invested heavily in their Gateshead facilities and are looking for a Reliability Engineer to join their team.


THE ROLE
To oversee the Tech Op's through a cultural change on site
To deliver a training plan for Tech Op's to carry out and validate operations team on
To keep an up-to-date training plan record.
To seek a reduction in reoccurring costs by introduction of different methods/solutions
To contribute towards the reduction of downtime and increase in OEE through people/processes/machinery.
Carry out/review and keep up to date RCA tracker.
Consistent reporting of all activities and communication to other members of the department
Review preventative maintenance to ensure machinery is in good state of repair. Effectively planning optimum time available when equipment is not in use
Understanding of health & safety and food hygiene rules and regulations.
Deputise for Maintenance Manager when on holiday.
To review and allocate the workload when Deputising for Maintenance Manager

To liaise with Shift managers, Product leads etc to be proactive to the production plan, issues that arise and gaining access to machines.

To make best placed decisions based on information, tools available and discussed between Operations and engineering teams
Correctly completed history in Maintenance system, and engineering shift report
Service sheets completed and adherence through daily and weekend plan
Input into production tracker to be reviewed to align with actual DT problems and timings
Constantly review KPI's and other business measures and compare to big DT issues and drive solutions

THE PERSON
Forward thinking mentality, previous experience in improving OEE
Knowledge of systems including Shire Systems, Excel
Apprenticeship / Technical background - HNC/Level 3 NVQ
Good Team Player - Able to demonstrate self-working alongside.
Self-motivated - Has to manage own workload plus 2 direct reports.
Conscientious, with attention to detail
Well organised
Good attitude and Effective verbal and written communication skills

THE PACKAGE
Permanent contract
A minimum of £45k salary. Negotiable for a higher salary depending on experience

The Reliability Engineer is day shift Mon to Friday 8 to 5 flexibility will be expected however core hours will be the majority.

Also, they will be 45 hours contract, overtime will be paid above this:
x1.25 Mon to Fri
x1.5 Saturday
x2 Sunday
23 holidays + bank holidays
