A brand-new opportunity to establish a Regulatory Compliance department at a successful global chemical distribution company.

This role would be ideal for an experienced chemical regulatory generalist who has broad knowledge of a range of chemical legislation/ regulations; you will be able to develop and implement systems and processes to ensure compliance; to train, develop and coordinate a small team; be the company regulatory expert and lead them to proactive compliance.


This role will provide the opportunity to shape the direction of a newly formed department, all processes, and compliance activities.

Duties will include horizon scanning, assessing the impact of regulatory changes, regulation interpretation, implementingchanges to ensure compliance, overseeing all hazard communication (SDS authoring, labelling), transportation regulations, PCNs, REACH liabilities (EU and UK), certification and implementation of any related product regulation across a very diverse productrange.


We are looking for a chemical regulatory officer / specialist who is looking to take greater responsibility and the opportunity to make their mark and shape a new department.

Previous management experience isn't essential; a propensity for team leading/mentoringwould be more than enough.

You must also have a good and broad knowledge of chemical regulation, starting with SDS authoring, labelling, classifications; and the ability to research, understand, interpret, and implement new regulations, maybe outside of yourprevious experience.
