The salary range for this role is £62,363 - £70,414 per annum, working 36 hours per week.


This is a great opportunity for managers looking to expand and develop their existing management and leadership skills, bring innovation and new ideas to a varied portfolio of services and building on our improvements to date.


The role will have line management responsibility for the Independent Reviewing Service, Independent Visitors Service, the LADO and Education Safeguarding Partnership, the Child Employment Team, and the Family Group Conferencing Service.

You will work closelywith, and be supported by, experienced and skilled Service Co-Ordinators.

All of these teams play a key part in safeguarding children and supporting their wellbeing; the ability to move between and feel comfortable having oversight of different strands ofa child's journey is key.

The role reports to the Assistant Director, Quality Practice & Performance.

As the **Service Manager

  • Quality Assurance**, you will be a skilled communicator with an ability to work collaboratively across the multiagency network, developing effective working relationships that work seamlessly to meet the needs of ourchildren, young people, and their families. You will ensure the service is focused on delivering quality, timely services within budget.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
  • Has substantial experience of at least 5 years frontline practice with recent experience in a social care management position, and preferably with experience of managing Child Protection Chairs and Independent Reviewing Officers
  • Has or is willing to be trained in Family Safeguarding, Motivational Interviewing and Group Supervision, as well as the ability to practice and develop these skills
  • Can promote a learning environment where people's skills and strengths are used and developed
  • Can build and promote a culture of performance, personal responsibility and accountability.
