We're hiring for
a CNC miller
programmer to join a growing tool manufacturer at their newly renovated site in
Wigan.

This is a company with over 35 years of experience producing specialist products to a number of industries including automotive, pharmaceutical & telecommunication.


What's on offer?
- £ £18.00 per hour

  • Monday
  • Thursday 7:30am 4:30pM/Friday 7:30am 3:00pm
  • 25 days holiday (excluding bank holidays)
  • Overtime available (paid at enhanced rate)
  • 4 % Employer pension contribution
  • Inhouse training
  • Salary review (after 3 months)

What will you be doing as a CNC miller?

  • Setting and programming on 5 axis CNC milling machinery running on Heidenhain
  • Reading and interpreting engineer drawings and design models
  • Inputting the product design into the computer modelling software
  • Loading RAW materials into the CNC machine
  • Specialising in the manufacturing of oneoff products
  • Completing quality control assessments
  • Cleaning and maintaining CNC machine

What do you need?

  • Experience in setting and operating CNC milling machines that operate Heidenhain
  • Ability to read and interpret design blueprints
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience using Heidenhain (desired)
  • Experience using Powershape (desired)
  • Background in toolmaking (beneficial)

Salary:
£16.00-£18.00 per hour
