  • YOUR ROLEOur team based in Etch, Aberdeen who provide specialist transportation and freight forwarding services to high profile clients have an exciting opportunity for a meticulous and proactive Pricing Specialist where you will support and provide local pricing and quotations ensuring we met operational requirements and deliver on customer service excellence.
  • WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?Reporting into the Operations Manager you will provide a variety of services from pricing and quotations, where you will validate and review data, documentation, customer requirements, timelines, proposals, and related queries. You will review, complete and process pricing and quotation forms, documents, databases, and related information inline with company policies and customer needs and research issues and develop recommendations to resolve issues in a timely manner. You will complete RFQs and RFIs as part of the global tender process, whilst meeting compliance regulations. You will assist in the implementation of pricing and quotation policies and programs to meet operational requirements and ensure compliance is in line with laws, rules, and regulations.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  • To be successful in this role, you will have proven pricing experience, ideally within a freight forwarding or logistics and supply chain environment, along with experience in developing and analyzing information and understanding and interpreting department policies, procedures, laws, rules, and regulations.
  • You have excellent communications skills both written and verbal, be a natural problem solver and logical thinker able to build effective relationships internally and externally.
You will be IT literate able to use MS office package.
  • It is also desirable to have supervising skills and experience in evaluating and making recommendations regarding staff, but this is not essential.
