Permanent contract Monday and Tuesday 1400 till hours) or four on four off hours)

Here at Serco, we're looking for a Site Services Representative to join us at Great Western Hospital, Swindon. Reporting into the Site Services Manager, you will manage phone lines and connect and transfer internal and external calls.

You will operate the Bleep system and emergency phone system to ensure that all emergency teams and Major Incidents are actioned.


The Helpdesk / Swithboard Operator will manage the emergency systems and alarms (Fire and BMS) to ensure that in the event of an alarm the appropriate teams are notified to take corrective action when based within the Night Control Room and maintain the On-call listing for doctors and key staff as notified by the Trust.


Due to the sensitive nature of the role, all information gained through the performance of the role must treated in strictest confidence in line with current company, Trust and legal requirements.


Other duties will include assisting in the development, implementation and maintenance of admin systems issued by Trust I.T that positively contribute to the effective and efficient management of information and records.


Cover Helpdesk duties specifically between 1700 and 0630 but also during the day in the absence of a Helpdesk Advisor when required.

Helpdesk duties after 17:00 will be to receive and process customer telephone and face to face requests, log relevant information into the database and follow Helpdesk logging procedures.

You will also be responsible for the production, issue and receipt of Keri Security access badges within a 24-hour timeframe and will process all car parking intercom queries and log any faults with the barriers/machines.


What you'll need to do the role

You will be able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role and have excellent communication skills across all channels.

This is a very busy and fast paced role, so experience in this sort of busy role is key. Working in a Hospital environment is highly rewarding, so we are looking for someone who is passionate about the healthcare industry and wants to make a difference
