Description

Trainee Joiner / Trainee Carpenter required for a contractor

Description of the role itself:

To learn all aspects of finishing joinery.

To sand joinery mainly moulded materials i.e., skirting & architraves.

To learn priming using a spray gun/ hand applied finish.

To cut back joinery as necessary

To wrap & pack joinery

To labelling and taping together sets of mouldings ready for dispatch.

To keeping finishing area neat and tidy and free from dust

To keeping an orderly and tidy despatch area, making sure finished joinery doesn't get damaged.

To move Joinery between workshops

To assist with delivery tickets

To clean spray workshop as required.

To assist with stacking materials in spray shop.

Requirements:

To hold a clean driving licence.

To be able to demonstrate a level-headed and mature approach to using equipment.

To be hard working, polite and of a tidy appearance.

To have the ability to work in a clean and well-kept working environment.

To demonstrates the ability to listen, take instruction and show willingness to learn.

To have a flexible, highly motivated, proactive and 'can do' working style.

To have good written and oral communication skills.

To have the ability to work within a team.

Salary:
£13,689.00-£20,007.00 per year
