Care Coordinator, Care Services
Location:
Kingshurst, Birmingham
Hours:
pm, 5 days Monday-Friday, as agreed with the manager
Telephone On Call:
Monday
- Friday 5pm9am (Weekdays) and Friday 5pm
- Monday 9am ( Weekend).
Reports to:
Registered Manager
Job Overview
- To coordinate and organise weekly rotas and to ensure all support hours are allocated
- Implement standards and compliance to ensure the smooth running of the office
- Evaluate standards of administrative competence throughout the office function
Role Specific Duties:
- To ensure all support hours are allocated efficiently whilst maintaining continuity of care and taking into account the needs of Service Users, staff and the business.
- Develop and maintain duty rotas to meet the needs of the Service Users
- Ensure staff receive their annual leave and there are enough staff on duty to support people
- Ensure that the care service is delivered to Service Users at the times and for the duration specified in the relevant individual agreement(s) and contract standards
- To maintain administrative skills at a current level and undertake such trainingand development as may from timetotime be required to maintain that currency of practice
- To supervise the administrative services within Sandant Care Limited inaccordance with agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations, in line with accepted best practice and within the financial plans agreed from timetotime
- Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support
- To provide, on rotation, a continuation of service delivery and point of contact for service users and staff alike outside of normal office working hours.
- Maintain Service Users' files, ensuring all documents are obtained as per company policy
- Working alongside the HR Manager to aid the implementation of the induction process for all new employees
Specific Skills Required:
- Experience in managing and scheduling rotas, minimum of 1,000 hours experience
- Excellent telephone manner is required to deal with staff and Service Users under pressure
- Work using own initiative to problem solve when issues arise
- Coordinators need to be able to adapt and address situations quickly.
- Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support
- Experience of working in a similar environment
- Experience of working with people who have additional supported needs
- Experience with dealing with staff scheduling
- Developing and managing a concise filing system
In addition to these functions employees are required to carry out such duties as may reasonably be required)
