University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust is looking for a highly motivated Training Officer to join the Site Services Management Team.


Reporting to the Training Manager the successful applicant will be supporting the continuous development, planning and provision of high-quality training to all levels of Hotel Services staff and other teams within Site Services to ensure we have a fully trained competent team.

Supporting our large staff group with their annual mandatory online training will be a key part of this role.


The post holder will assist in planning training programmes, drafting training materials, sourcing, co-ordinating and delivering relevant training across Hotel Services and reporting performance to management, and will also be required to support the management team in the planning and provision of any training required as a result of changing processes or equipment or to respond to emerging situations.


The post-holder will need to be comfortable and confident working in clinical environments with clinicians and patients, with excellent and skilful communications.

The post-holder will be required to travel to other sites for the purposes of assessing and delivering training.

This is a full-time position.

Working hours will usually be 12 noon - 8pm to ensure training support is in place for our evening workers.

However, the Trust is looking for someone who can work flexibly to meet the needs of this workforce. Some weekend working will also be required.
