Health and Safety Officer - Crane Hire
Salary:
£30,000 - £50,000 DOE

Full Time - Permanent

Schedule:
Monday - Friday 9am to 5pm
Experience:2 Years Health and Safety on construction sites + crane knowledge

Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments, identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure compliance with health and safety protocols during lifting operations.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on safe work practices and the proper use of safety equipment.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, analysing root causes and implementing preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate records of safetyrelated incidents, training sessions, and inspections.
- Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to continuously improve the company's safety program.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
- Proven experience in a health and safety role, preferably within the crane hire or construction industry.
- Familiarity with relevant health and safety legislation and standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detailoriented with excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Certified Health and Safety Professional (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) is a plus.
- Ability to develop and deliver effective training programs.
