Digital and Transformation Administrator

Job Overview


The Digital and Transformation Administrator will undertake a significant role supporting the Digital and Transformation Lead, to ensure the successful implementation of digital projects within the Mid Kent Primary Care Network transformation programme.


The role includes:

  • Supporting Digital and Transformation Lead and PCN colleagues
  • Helping to build professional relationship and shared purpose across the Mid Kent Primary Care Network
  • Supporting and maintaining high quality administrative systems and processes
  • Manage the reporting requirements of a wide portfolio of PCN digital projects
  • Supporting the administration of key analytical and reporting tools
  • Contributing to and supporting digital service models and supporting system users


It will be necessary to have the ability to travel between the practices and to be able to work remotely some of the time.


You will have excellent communication, administrative and data analysis skills to enable the collaboration needed to support the delivery of digital and transformation projects at a network level.

You will also have a flexible approach to assisting wider team members as required.


You will also have experience of working in primary care in an IT/digital project support or administrative role; have well-honed organisation and time management skills; be able to demonstrate excellent IT skills including Excel, system configuration as well as be an expert user of the EMIS Web Clinical System.

You will have the ability to extract, interpret and present data from variety of clinical systems and dashboards.


The Digital Transformation Administrator role is a new post and as such you will need to have a flexible approach and the ability to adapt and contribute to the role as it evolves.

Team working and excellent communication skills are vital aspects of this role.

Organisation Overview


Mid Kent Primary Care Network supports 7 practices across Ashford and Faversham and covers a patient population of just over 100,000.


The local care vision in East Kent is for localities to develop a model of care that enables people to live as independently as possible by delivering high quality, person centred care that integrates hospital, social care, community and voluntary services around primary care networks of GP practices.


The vision for Mid Kent PCN is for our practices to work together to achieve excellent patient care through integrated pathways accessed close to home.

Mid Kent PCN will achieve this by delivering primary care at scale, including:

  • Engagement from all practices within the PCN
  • Partnership working with other PCNs, the ICB, NHS Trusts, community providers and the voluntary sector
  • A comprehensive workforce strategy (including ARRS roles) and engagement with the new Kent and Medway Medical School.


We aim to work collaboratively with other healthcare providers and support organisations, to enable more patients to be treated in a primary care setting, closer to home.


Role Responsibilities


It is important to note that responsibilities will be varied and dependent upon the PCN needs and this is not designed to be an exhaustive list.

The following are the core responsibilities of the role:

Project Support

  • Support the delivery a variety of digital transformation projects within the overarching programme of work
  • Support the management of project risk, action, issue and decision logs
  • Author, maintain and present timely reports to ensure that projects remain on track and to budget

Data and Analytics

  • Utilise a variety of data and analytical tools to help inform effective service management
  • Use data and analytical tools to efficiently identify and manage identified cohorts of patients
  • Present data in a variety of formats
  • Support an ongoing programme of data quality improvement

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Support members of staff across the PCN in the implementation of new digital strategies and services
  • Support digital literacy across the organisation
  • Maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders at both organisational, neighbourhood and ICB level
  • Work with key clinical system suppliers and IT support leads

Clinical System Configuration

  • Maintain and support a variety of core clinical systems and appointment books to meet the needs of the service
  • Facilitate the onboarding of staff to core clinical systems and provide clinical system user support

Governance and Compliance

  • Ensure that data protection compliance obligations are taken into consideration and adhered to in all aspect of project delivery
  • Ensure that clinical safety compliance obligations are taken into
