  • About the role


Due to its continuing success, and to strengthen and enhance its project and programme management capabilities, CDS DS is looking for a passionate Senior Project Manager to join the PMO.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to takethe next step in their career in to a more senior role.


Responsibilities

  • The initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of projects.
  • Planning and scheduling of project timelines.
  • Coordinating project staff, key stakeholders and tracking project utilisation.
  • Resource planning and allocation.
  • Managing RAIDO (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies and Opportunities).
  • Managing project administration.
  • Tracking deliverables.
  • Meeting budgetary objectives and tracking financial performance.
  • Financial responsibilities including Invoicing, Forecasting.
  • Reporting project metrics to the PMO and other key stakeholders.
  • Traveling to and visiting client sites where necessary.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience within a project/programme/portfolio management environment.
  • An indepth knowledge of at least one 'Waterfall' project/programme/portfolio management framework/methodology.
  • Exposure to, and an excellent understanding of Agile project management.
  • Formal training and/or certification in Project Management e.g., Prince II, APM, PMI.
  • Excellent Office 365 skills including:
  • MS Project.
  • MS Excel.
  • MS PowerPoint.
  • MS Word.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with both internal staff and external customers.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to resolve conflict where necessary.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Be financially literate.
  • Be friendly, approachable and collaborative.
  • Be able to assess and prioritise workloads.
  • Be solutionsfocused and able to deal with ambiguity.
  • Have a strong work ethic.
  • Remain calm under pressure.
  • Have an excellent attention to detail.
  • Be selfdisciplined and able to work remotely where required.
