Who we're looking for:

We are looking for an HR Operations Co-ordinator to work within our EMEA People team.

This is a wide-ranging role which includes general HR operations work, data & reporting, day-to-day HR advice and supporting the EMEA People Leadership team in the delivery of projects.

The operations and advisory work is primarily for the Global & EMEA HQ team (around 100 people).

The data, reporting and project work is across the EMEA region, giving the opportunity work with People team colleagues in markets ranging from the Nordics to South Africa.

You will be experienced in HR Operations and comfortable working in a fluid and complex international environment.

Within the HQ team, we look after some of the most senior people in the business, so a high level of discretion and professionalism are essential.


What you'll be doing:

General HR Operations work for EMEA & Global HQ teams;

  • Own the new starter process, including producing offer letters & contracts, reference & background checks, organising onboarding, ensuring IT accounts are set up etc.
  • Prepare other documentation such as probation letters, reference letters, parental leave letters, salary review & bonus letters, visa letters for clients visiting UK and other correspondence
  • Manage the leaver process
  • Maintain all people data on Workday & ensure payroll receive required information on timely basis
  • Log Workday service tickets & ensure issue resolution, test improvements to the system & be point of contact for Workday for HQ team
  • Maintain Statement of Processes for Workday & related operational activities
  • Manage the benefits enrolments for starters, leavers, changes
Regular data & reporting activities, including;

  • General EMEA wide people data audits & maintenance
  • Internal expert on Aloha, our global people database, requesting access for new People team members from global IT, training new team members
  • Keep the WPP Executive-Compensation system up to date
  • Respond to data requests from WPP, our global team & contacts around the region
  • Produce Workday reports on HQ population
  • Assist in region wide People reporting, including collating attrition data
Provide generalist HR advice;

  • Advise the HQ team on policies, absence, holidays and benefits
  • Advise managers on onboarding, probations and other operational processes
  • Conduct exit interviews & report on trends
Support EMEA HQ People Leadership team;

  • Work with Talent & Culture Director to produce agenda & slides for monthly Regional People Leadership calls
  • Assist Chief People Officer with People slides for Quarterly Reforecast & other meetings
  • Assist with operational elements of wide variety of People team projects, such as Pulse Surveys and Recognition programme

What you'll need:


  • Be experienced in the operational elements of the full employee lifecycle, with great attention to detail
  • Be comfortable providing daytoday advice
  • Be organised and used to managing your own workload to enable you to meet deadlines
  • Have is a desire to learn and to improve how things are done, along with the initiative to help make changes happen
  • Be comfortable with ambiguity and change; we are continually improving how we do things
  • Quickly build and maintain trusted partnerships
  • Be culturally sensitive, able to adapt to working with people from a range of countries
  • Have good word, excel & powerpoint skills
  • Workday experience a plus but not essential
