We're keen to recruit a dedicated and ambitious Broker/Account Executive within our Construction divison.


Working within our specialty insurance / reinsurance division you'll manage and provide a quality service to maximise client and agent opportunities.

The aim is to obtain optimum account, retention and revenue growth. Do you have the experience to join us and make a real difference?


Your Role:


  • Generate new business income, market customer business, typically of moderate complexity, whilst retaining and growing existing accounts.
  • Increase existing business by seeking new and additional exposures, recommending solutions, endorsing other products and maintaining relationships.
  • Coordinate and attend strategy meetings prior to renewal, evaluate demands and needs for new and existing contracts. Introduce clients to other product specialists where appropriate.
  • Maintain and develop contacts with clients, meet key client personnel on a regular basis to maintain profitable client/agent relationships.
  • Provide risk management options and liaise with internal risk managers to increase our service offering. Find appropriate carriers, send requests, negotiate favourable quotes and prepare recommendations
  • Work with the technical operations function to ensure good credit control is maintained and bad debt is kept to a minimum
  • Maintain a broad knowledge of relevant markets and advances across the industry in order to keep clients/agents informed.

Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications:


  • Cert CII/ Dip CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) desirable, educated to A-Level standard or equivalent
  • Solid knowledge within construction insurance and risk management, is essential for advisory remit. Confident, able to advise and negotiate with clients using discernment, confidentiality and integrity.
  • Outstanding relationship and partner management, forward planning ability, able to anticipate future outcomes and provide robust options.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, able to work on a number of projects concurrently. Able to interpret data with accuracy and present findings articulately with a professional manner and approach.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, strong numeracy and analytical skills. Comfortable and credible at decisionmaker level, persistent and tenacious in achieving results; ambitious and motivates others to achieve
  • Continually builds and sustains a network maintaining relationships, proactive in risk management.
  • Eligible to work in the UK
