  • This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing business in the Warehousing division of Barry-Callebaut. Providing key business analysis and process governance to support daily execution of our warehousing departments in an ever growing organization.     About the role
  • The Warehouse Lead is responsible for ensuring full operational compliance within raw materials and finished goods warehousing, inclusive of the accurate systems governance and traceability of all inbound, transfer and distribution of materials/products. To coordinate the resourcing of the relevant departments to ensure adequate personnel coverage for operational objectives, inclusive of cross functional skills recommendations. Ensure stock accuracy and count governance/compliance.
    Key Responsbilities
  • To lead and develop the warehousing teams to ensure high level skills.
  • Manage holiday, sickness, OT and ATOSS requests.
  • To complete performance reviews in a timely manner and complete in success factors.
  • A first point of contact for all warehouse related queries.
  • Liaise with Moulding, QA, Manufacturing departments regarding warehousing related issues, rework or sampling requirements.
  • Safe operation of all MHE equipment in order to meet operational requirements, inc battery upkeep and charging.
  • Identify skills gaps and training requirements in conjunction with the warehouse responsibilities.
  • To ensure all materials received are correctly booked in, labelled and put away in the correct storage location.
  • Assist with accurate counting of stock in line with cycle counting process.
  • Ensure good levels of hygiene and housekeeping within the warehouse areas and maintain the 5s standards in the warehouse areas.
  • Ensure efficient pallet and packaging availability and report low stock items to warehouse controller.
  • To accurately pick, confirm and dispatch any customer orders and ensure all documentation is correct.
  • To provide holiday and sickness cover when required.
  • Any other reasonable tasks to ensure the effective storage and dispatch of the BC Raw materials / products.

About you

  • Stock control management (Essential)
  • Have a working knowledge of formal problem solving techniques and improvement techniques e.g. Six Sigma. Ability to problem solve and undertake process mapping, Pareto analysis etc.
  • Adopts a logical, reasoned, analytical approach to work.
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal (Essential)
  • Good numeracy skills, with the ability to analyze data relevant to the role (Essential)
  • Experience with SAP / equivalent Operational inventory/processing software
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Microsoft word to a good standard (Essential)
  • Ability to think fast in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to challenge and positively influence others with strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Time management and delegation.
