Barking and Dagenham has exciting opportunities for a number of Band 6 Health Visitors. If you are a qualified Health Visitor we would like to hear from you.
We are looking to recruit motivated practitioners with initiative and drive who are keen to contribute to the further development of our service.
We work in close collaboration with Children Centre's as well as other agencies to improve outcomes and reduce health inequalities for children, young people and their families in our borough.
For newly qualified practitioners, we have a Preceptorship Programme in place to aid your development.We also offer a wide range of 'in-house' and other training opportunities for continuous professional development through our learning and development department as well as clinical supervision and mentorship.
You will need to have the ability to work autonomously and as part of an integrated skill mix team. You need to have excellent communication skills and experience of working in partnership across organisational boundaries. You need to be willing to facilitate and support change in service delivery.COVID-19 Vaccination

Probationary PeriodStarting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust.
All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.
As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes.
The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.High Cost Area Supplement - London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,108 and a maximum payment of £5,177 per annum pro rata for part-time).
