Your responsibilities


This role as a Warehouse Assembly Operative is the perfect opportunity for someone who likes working with their hands and has enthusiasm for a quality finished product This is a great opportunity to put together products using tools and screwing parts together.


One of our sites in Cradley Heath, Birmingham, also known as our 'Fabrications' site, is a relatively new venture for thyssenkrupp Materials UK which was launched in September 2020.

At this site, we prepare, cut and assemble an array of finished balconies in various sizes and designs and other products.


Your main duties will be:

  • Working from drawings you will be required to assemble various components to create parts of or full balcony assemblies
  • Record measurements and photos of each stage of the build process
  • Using overhead crane and forklift to move material to work station
  • Promote continuous improvement processes to maximise efficiency and minimise waste in all operational processes
  • Maintain full conformance in line with all identified order requirements

Your profile

  • Essential experience, skills and knowledge:
  • Enjoy working with your hands
  • Be prepared to work a labour intensive role
  • Worked with tools within your own hobbies/jobs

Desirable experience, skills and knowledge:

  • Forklift Truck Licence
  • Overhead Crane Licence
  • Able to read drawing and record accurate details
