Salary:
£27,000 to £30,000 per annum


Based at:
Chesterfield, Derby, Leicester or Nottingham with agile working. Additional travel required

Contract:
Permanent, full time (35 hours per week)


1. WHY THE POST EXISTS


Do you have experience in copywriting and content creation? Are you a creative self-starter with a passion for supporting teams to achieve their marketing objectives? Can you adhere to guidelines, deadlines, operate professionally and have a high level of attention to detail? If so, you could be our next Marketing Executive.


You will also aid the effective marketing of the Chamber's networks including Enterprising Women, Generation Next and the East Midlands Manufacturing Network.


2. THE KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Play a key role alongside the wider Marketing team in the development and achievement of the Chamber's Marketing and Events strategy.
  • Take the lead on delivering effective marketing campaigns for the assigned projects.
  • Work with external agencies and internal colleagues to write design briefs for marketing collateral to create successful lead generation through its campaigns and event launches.
  • Copywrite for multiple channels and audiences across the Chamber.
  • Work closely within Marketing to manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Assist with website administration as required.
  • Continuously evaluate and assess the most effective ways to share news and reach new and targeted audiences.
  • Brainstorm and suggest new ways to increase take up and engagement with Chamber products and activities.
  • Provide support as needed on the production of the Business Network magazine and other PR activity.
  • Work closely with colleagues to align key messages for the press, media and customers in relation to Chamber campaigns and projects.
  • Provide occasional social media support to the Social Media Executive as directed.
  • Work with project and events teams across the organisation to produce content for the wider Chamber events programme, this includes conducting keyword research and using SEO guidelines to optimise content.
  • Liaise with Chamber members and external stakeholders to produce case studies that promote Chamber products and services.
  • Occasional out of hours working to support events.

3. IDEALLY APPLICANTS WILL POSSESS

  • Experience using website CMS systems.
  • Social media marketing experience for business use.
  • Experience of creating strong and engaging content.
  • Able to produce copy for a wide range of publications within agreed timescales.
  • Can conduct research and interviews to support marketing topics.
  • Experience in undertaking evidencebased decision making when developing a product or process.
  • Proven understanding and use of Adobe (Photoshop/Premier Pro or After Effects) and/or Canva.
  • Good use of English, both verbally and in writing.
