Administrator (Part-time)

£11 - £11.50 per hour + holiday pay

Based in Edinburgh


Reed Business Support are pleased to be working with a welcoming and open charity who are looking to recruit a part-time Administrator on a 2-3 month temporary basis with the possibility of becoming permanent.

Working is a picturesque, Georgian era building,the successful Administrator will be responsible for supporting with bookings and lettings for the building and providing general administrative support.


  • Immediate start possible
hours per week (ideally over 4 days but can be flexible)

  • Hybrid working available

Key responsibilities:

  • Organising booking of rooms, facilities and equipment
  • Dealing with letting enquiries and appointments with visitors
  • Liaising with the senior manager and external parties to ensure good communication
  • Managing invoicing system for payment to charity, monthly summary let reporting, petty cash, card spend and any other tasks agreed with the Treasurer
  • Managing building service contracts including general cleaning and window cleaning
  • Arranging appointments for regular property and service maintenance visits for Fire Alarm System, Lift, CCTV, heating and boiler servicing etc.
  • Managing the keyholder access to the building for groups
  • Ordering and maintaining office supplies, equipment, cleaning supplies and stationery

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience working as an Administrator or in a similar admin role
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good IT skills particularly MS Office
  • Discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to form good relationships
